Design of Quality Model during Reengineering of Legacy System

    Get PDF
The purpose of this paper is design such kind of model that will improve the quality of system during reengineering[1] of legacy system that why this model is known as Quality Model. During reengineering of object oriented system[2,3], the methodology is design in such a way that will create a link/bridge between problem detection and problem correction in the legacy system, as well as simultaneously improvement in object oriented design, that can be used during later reengineering and also reduces the complexity as compared to object oriented design[4,5,6]. The further design of legacy system in such a way to specifying, how branches can be selected, how behavior is preserved and how code transformation applied. Quality of model, depends upon two factor favor and disfavor, attach to each branches, software quality is directly proportional to maintenance cost. Quality model is used for two purpose sketch and blueprint. Sketch is used a thinking tool, which help developer communicates, some aspects of a system and alternative about, what are about to be done. Blueprint intends to be comprehensive and definitive. It is used for guiding the implementation

Ashoka is one of the most legendary and sacred trees of India. The Ashoka bark has been very widely used in Indian System of Medicine. It has very good effects in Uterine, genital and reproductive disorders. Ashoka bark is one of the top 20 herbs traded in Ayurveda and Herbal Industry being main ingredient in almost all formulations to treat Gynaecological disorders. Due to more demand and less supply of authentic Ashoka, there is substitution or adulteration with other plants. In this study of Ashoka bark with special reference to its samples available in the crude drug market of Mumbai, we determined method and time of collection of the authentic Ashoka bark, its organoleptic characteristics, Pharmacognostical and physic-chemical along with market samples. A great difference was observed in authentic Ashoka bark and marketed samples. Reference Ashoka bark collected from Sanjay Gandhi National Botanical Garden, Mumbai as per procedures described in Charak Samhita Vimansthana chaper 8. Other five samples of Ashoka bark available in name of Ashoka were collected from different locations of Mumbai crude drug Market. All six samples were properly powdered, sieved and kept in air tight containers for further study. In this study, emphasis is led upon standardisation of Ashoka - Saraca asoca (Roxb.) and its samples available in the crude drug market

A Case Study on the management of Pittashmari w.s.r. to Gall Bladder Stone

    Get PDF
Gall stone disease is a worldwide medical problem, but the incidence rates show substantial geographical variation, Cholelithiasis (gallstone formation) results from a combination of several factors, including super saturation of bile with cholesterol, accelerated nucleation of cholesterol monohydrate in bile, and bile stasis or delayed gallbladder emptying due to impaired gallbladder motility. In India it is more common in women in north, north-east and east as compared to other zones in the country. The disease Gall Stone has not been described directly in Ayurvedic classics. The word Ashmari in Ayurveda stands for stone which is described only in the context of Bastigata Ashmari (urinary calculi). After analyzing the Ayurvedic texts it was found that the bile secreted from gall bladder can be correlated with Accha Pitta mentioned in Ayurveda due to the similarity in location and function. The pathogenesis of the disease occurs due to the abnormal formation of Kapha during the process of digestion and its vitiation due to Vata. Once gallstones become symptomatic, definitive surgical intervention with cholecystectomy is usually indicated (typically, laparoscopic cholecystectomy is first-line therapy at centers with experience in this procedure). The present article deals with “Management of Pittashmari - A Case Study

STUDENT’S PERCEPTION TOWARDS PLAGIARISM: A CASE STUDY OF CENTRAL UNIVERSITY OF HARYANA (INDIA)

Plagiarism is an academic misconduct in which a person use or steals others intellectual property and presents it as own. This paper indicates about the perception of Central University Haryana students towards plagiarism. It is observed that the issue of plagiarism is a matter of great concern in higher educational institutions. This survey study was conducted on 150 post graduate level students of central university of Haryana where student’s perception towards plagiarism was assessed on the basis of a questionnaire. Results revealed that most of the students had a positive perception towards the plagiarism aspect assessed in this study. The favorable perception could be the result of their understanding about plagiarism and its consequences in academics. It might be due to the notification of UGC about plagiarism according to which it is considered as a crime in academics and UGC has zero tolerance policy on plagiarism with a penalty

Bibliometric Analysis of Supply Chain Management: An International Journal from 2005-2014

The purpose of this paper is to analyse the contributions of researchers in the field of management internationally through this journal in last ten years. Authors conduct a bibliometric analysis of the Supply Chain Management: an International Journal which is indexed in the Social Science Citation Index. This study was developed from a bibliometric survey to expand knowledge regarding publications in the supply chain management: an international journal from 2005-14. The present study Bibliometric analysis of Supply chain management: an international journal which covers the 458 articles of 10 volumes and 59 issues in 10 years from 2005-2014. Authors performed the analysis of scientific publications, reviewed and indexed in databases Emerald. Nonparametric test X2 was done to test the hypotheses. The Authors attempted to reveal the year wise publication of articles, authorship pattern of articles, citation pattern, No of citations, country wise distribution of articles, average number of citation per articles and length of papers etc. Results showed that, in the year 2006, highest 59(12.94%) articles were published out of 458 articles in last ten years. Dual author contribution has predominant with 35.80%. In geographical distribution of articles, UK has contributed highest 103 articles with 22.49% and highest 49.56% articles are published with page range of 11-20. The X2 test depict that there is significant relationship between highly cited articles and the most productive author while there is no significant relationship between highly cited articles and the most productive country as well as most productive institute/university. The limitation of this study is that articles were taken from 2005-14 only and the citations are taken from the Google scholar only. First, this research could be used for further analysis in the future such as keyword content analysis of getting the deeper knowledge. Second, only one SSCI Journal was considered in this research. Therefore, future research could use the different journal databases to retrieve more in-depth issues. This study will helpful for researchers to know which article and which author has major contribution and what kind of study he has done in the past 10 years as well as what will be the future scope. The study is first of its kind with reference to this journal and thus it will contribute to the researchers to enhance the knowledge /information about the kind of study being published in this journal in last ten years

Photocatalytic degradation of Reactive Red 24 in Aqueous Media by Photo-Fenton Reagent

    Get PDF
Advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) are widely used for the removal of health hazardous organic pollutants from industrial and municipal wastewater. Reactive Red 24, which has a complex molecular structure with azo aromatic groups, is widely used in textile industry. Degradation of Reactive Red 24 by Photo-Fenton regent has been investigated under irradiation of visible light in aqueous solution. The parameters that influence degradation such as concentration of Reactive Red 24, FeSO4, H2O2, light intensity and pH of the experimental solution were studied. The optimum condition for the photocatalytic degradation of dye was established. The degradation of dye in the dilute solution follows the first order kinetics
